Hillary Rejects, Denounces Self, Throws Self Under Bus After Gaffe

Responding to a chorus of outrage touched off by her comments about the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy, Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) made a bold attempt at damage control today by distancing herself from herself.
Many political observers had assumed Sen. Clinton would respond in some manner to the controversy she had created with her comments, but few expected her to throw herself under the bus. At a rally today in South Dakota, the New York senator said that the comments she made were "totally unacceptable," adding, "I hereby reject and denounce myself."

Attempting to reassure her dwindling base of support, she said that her comments "have no place in a political campaign, and the person who made them will have no role in my administration."

Sen. Clinton also offered an explanation for her comments about the late Sen. Kennedy, telling the crowd, "I am still suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of my service in the Bosnian army."

While early reaction to her latest comments was mixed, Clinton aide Terry McAuliffe called the speech "a home run." "She came out today and said she was disgusted and appalled by Hillary Clinton," Mr. McAuliffe said. "That puts her in the mainstream of American opinion."

Sen. Clinton's decision to throw herself under the bus also drew praise from her husband, former president Bill Clinton, who joined in rejecting and denouncing her. "When I heard her comments about Bobby Kennedy, I thought, wow, somebody in her campaign said something idiotic and this time it wasn't me," he said.

NEW MAGIC NUMBER 2,118

The resolution increased the number of delegates needed to clinch the nomination to 2,118, leaving Obama 66 delegates short but still within striking distance after the three final primaries are held in the next three days is this the end?.

The deal was reached after committee members met privately for more than three hours, trying to hammer out a deal, and announced in a raucous hearing that reflected deep divisions within the party.

ROWDY HILLARY SUPPORTERS!!?? SHAMEFUL

The behavior of the Hillary supporters at the rules committee was appauling. They are an embarrasment to the country. Her campaign should address the behavior of those routies and tell them how they are harming the Democratic Party.
The Obama supports refrained from shouting and interrupting the speakers.Ickes did the party and his candidate a disservice. It is evident that there is no intention except slash and burn in the Clinton campaign. The Democratic Party is going to have to rally solidly behind its nominee. It will be running against Clinton and McCain...and that is the sad part. What we saw today was many of the Hillary supporters on the committee supporting Obama. And also what was proven today was that the clinton's are not in control as they thought they were, It's Sen.Obama's party now.

Alice Huffman, a member of the D.N.C.’s Rules and Bylaws Committee tried to console Kim Frederick of Houston, who shouted at the committee following the ruling

Howard Dean Finally Grows Some????

WASHINGTON — Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean had tough words for the media on Saturday, saying that the presidential race had been plagued by "blatantly sexist comments, particularly by some members of the media — and blatantly racist remarks."

"The media will…look for conflict," he told members of the DNC's Rules and Bylaws Committee gathered to resolve the impasse over seating the Florida and Michigan delegations. "They will not talk about your energy and your passion for your candidate, and your enthusiasm."

Supporters of Hillary Clinton's presidential bid have increasingly targeted reporters and other members of the Democratic Party for what they say is unfair treatment of the New York senator because she is a woman. As he spoke, hundreds of Clinton supporters rallied outside to press for the full seating of both the Florida and Michigan delegates.

OBAMA SELLING OUT TICKETS IN MICH, LIKE A ROCK STAR!!!

ROYAL OAK -- Like the rush for a hot rocker concert, 1,000 free tickets for a big town hall meeting with Sen. Barack Obama were snatched up in about an hour Saturday.

BILL CLINTON'S ENEMIES LIST: INCLUDES THE MEDIA. AND MOVEON.ORG. BUT WAIT DIDN'T HE FOUNDED MOVEON.ORG?

With Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign on the verge of defeat, Bill Clinton has been placing blame on enemies including a brazenly biased media that tried to suppress blue-collar votes, a powerful anti-war group that endorsed rival Barack Obama and weak-willed party leaders unable to stand up to either of these nefarious forces.
Pieced together from the former president's public remarks at his wife's campaign events and a private conversation last week with top donors to her campaign, the theory goes something like this: After Hillary recovered from a string of losses to rival Barack Obama with March 4 wins in Texas and Ohio, powerful forces conspired to pressure the superdelegates who will decide the nomination to back Obama by discouraging her supporters from voting and trying to hide evidence proving she would fare better than Obama against presumptive GOP nominee John McCain

Truth4Real Esclusive!! On Geraldine A. Ferraro

I think that the G. Ferraro speech is more disturbing than what this priest had to say. I have been saying the same thing - that Hillary feels that she is entitle to this position - an now that she has lost she is crying and blaming everyone else for her poor performance. It is getting sad that some women cannot accept the fact that this woman did not work very hard initially because, she believe she was going to be the next president and then when she looked around this man (Obama) had out organized, raised more funds, and drew more people, had earned the right to be the Dem candidate for president. The bottom line is that for years we have been told that if we wants something - we have to work harder(200%)and never have an attitude - Senator Obama has worked very hard, very smart, and has always been respectful of Hillary. Read Geraldine's speech hear and understand what she is saying, it is very distrubing.

THE TRUTH ABOUT SEAN HANNITY, THE WORLD NEEDS TO NOW ABOUT

Sean Hannity’s Relationship With Neo-Nazi Leader Confirmed

Sean Hannity, co-host of FOX News Channels popular nightly program Hannity and Colmes has for years come across as both a racist and blind ideologue. Viewers are often inundated with his incredibly extreme, and narrow minded view on situations ranging from race relations to the United States involvement in Iraq, and his take on things is often times nauseating. For a long time, legitimate media, and right minded individuals have viewed Hannity as nothing more then a blow hard neo-conservative, who championed the use of slanderous journalism. Well it seems as though recent events have provided us with further insight into what makes Sean Hannity tick, this information comes in the revelation of Hannity’s long time friendship with neo-Nazi mainstay Hal Turner. Hal Turner, Hannity’s close confidant, has acknowledged that indeed he has known Hannity quite well, and for many years. This comes on the heels of Hannity’s initial claims that he didn’t know Hal Turner, the Nazi/White Supremacist.

On Wednesday, March 19, Malik Zulu Shabazz (a racist in his own right) of the New Black Panther Party appeared as a guest on Hannity & Colmes to discuss the Obama / Reverend Wright controversy. During that appearance, Sean Hannity asked Shabazz if Barak Obama shouldn’t be judged by his past affiliations with Reverend Wright, to which Shabazz replied by asking Sean Hannity “Should you be judged by your past association with Hal Turner, a neo-Nazi?” First Hannity denied knowing Turner, then he said he had long ago banned Turner from his show. Then, in a tacit admission, Hannity said something along the lines of, “Well I’m not running for President.” Below you can view the Hannity and Colmes segment from March 19th which shows Hannity’s denial:

Hannity’s claim that he did not know Hal Turner came as news to a lot of people, including of course, Hal Turner. Who earlier today discussed their close friendship on his blog, Turner writes in great detail about his past with Hannity:

I was quite disappointed when Sean Hannity at first tried to say he didn’t know me and then went on to say that I ran some senate campaign in New Jersey. In fact, Sean Hannity does know me and we were quite friendly a number of years ago.
When Hannity took over Bob Grant’s spot on 77 WABC in New York City, I was a well-known, regular and welcome caller to his show. Through those calls, Sean and I got to know each other a bit and at some point, I can’t remember exactly when, Sean gave me the secret “Guest call-in number” at WABC so that my calls could always get on the air.
When I utlized that call-in number, Sean would very often come onto that line during commercial breaks so we could chat before I went on the air. Our off-the-air chats grew to an exchange of other phone numbers, me giving Sean my home and cellular number and Sean giving me his direct dial-in number at Fox News channel.
In 1993, My wife got pregnant and around a month later, Sean reported that he and his wife were expecting their first child. We got to talking about things expectant dads talk about and the relationship grew.
My wife gave birth to our son in June 1994, Seans wife gave birth to their child about a month later.

One for the end of the road? Merry Clinton knocks back whisky on campaign plane

Photobucket
I don't know about you guys, but it kind of distrubs me to see a DRINK in HRC almost everyday or night. Is this who america wants to set a example for our kids?

Hillary Clinton took time out from her punishing campaign schedule to enjoy a glass of whiskey with a group of journalists.

The Democratic presidential hopeful was flying back from Rapid City in South Dakota, one of the few states yet to hold its primary when she decided to let her hair down a little.

Her relaxed mood may give rise to speculation she is preparing to concede to her Democratic rival Barak Obama.

Earlier in the campaign, Mrs Clinton regularly took time out to enjoy a drop of the hard stuff with voters but she avoided informal contact with reporters

Earlier, she took a couple hours out of her not-so-busy schedule for a little sightseeing, driving in her 7-car motorcade up to Mount Rushmore.

Her appearance startled the handful of tourists at the shrine to the presidency on a cold and overcast morning.

EX-GIRLFRIEND POINTING FINGER AT 50?

Photobucket
A raging blaze one fire official called "definitely suspicious" torched a Dix Hills home at the center of a legal dispute involving rapper 50 Cent and his ex-girlfriend.

Shaniqua Tompkins, the ex-girlfriend living in the home at 2 Sandra Dr. owned by 50 Cent, was among the six people treated for smoke inhalation. Among the victim's was their son, Marquise, 11.

In tears outside the gutted house Friday afternoon, Tompkins said she was positive the fire was deliberately set.

"Someone threw something in the window and set the house on fire," she said. She blamed 50 Cent, the Grammy-winning rapper.

"He's trying to kill me and his own child," she said. "I know without a doubt in my heart it was him."

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, last month tried to evict Tompkins and their son from the home unless she paid him $4,500 a month in rent. He bought the home in January 2007 for a reported $1.4 million.

In turn, Tompkins filed a lawsuit against Jackson in State Supreme Court in Manhattan, claiming "breach of contract" and charging that the rapper had promised to put all or part of the house in her name.

50 Cent's lawyer, Brett Kimmel, released the following statement to the web site TMZ: "Any suggestion that Mr. Jackson had anything whatsoever to do with the fire at his home is outrageous and offensive."

Suffolk police stressed that the investigation is still in the preliminary stages and that they had not determined if the fire was deliberately set.

"His name has come up by one of the witnesses, but he is currently in Louisiana, from what we understand," said Det. Sgt. Edward Fitzgerald.

Asked if police had spoken with him, Fitzgerald said, "We have not. At this point, we don't have a way to contact him."

A statement on behalf of Jackson, 32, said he was informed of the fire while filming a movie on location in Louisiana.

The statement said: "Curtis Jackson expressed deep concern over this fire at his property. He is extremely thankful that everyone including his son, Marquise, escaped the burning house safely. He is confident that authorities will be conducting a thorough investigation of the incident and is eager to review their findings."

In addition to Tompkins and Marquise, Tompkins' two other children, her aunt and aunt's child were in the house at the time of the fire. They were all treated at Huntington Hospital and later released.

At the hospital, Tompkins said she was in an upstairs bedroom when she said she heard something crash through a window downstairs -- and she scrambled to wake everyone and get them all out of the burning house.

Douglas Bose, an off-duty Suffolk police officer who was passing by at the time, came to the rescue. He called 911 and went to the rear of the house, where the occupants were trapped on the second floor. Police said he instructed all six people to exit through a window and come out on to the roof. They each jumped down, and he was able to catch them.

Bose, a 22-year veteran of the police department, said he was simply "in the right place at the right time."

One of the first firefighters to arrive on the scene told Newsday the fire was suspicious.

"I would say there is a strong -- a strong, strong -- possibility that it is suspicious," Dix Hills Fire Department Chief Larry Feld said.

Asked why he believed the fire was suspicious, Feld told Newsday: "The rapid movement of the fire. The volume of the fire . . . It was engulfed. The home was totally gutted."

Contacted early Friday, the attorney representing Tompkins, Paul Catsandonis, said he had not heard about the fire. He declined to comment.

The fire was reported at 5 a.m., according to Suffolk police and fire officials. Firefighters from Dix Hills, Deer Park, Greenlawn, Commack and Melville responded to the blaze.

"The fire was huge, I mean huge," next-door neighbor Debra Lotz said. "I watched the whole fire from our pool . . . It burned down to the ground." The fire caused officials to close down nearby Route 231 at Vanderbilt Parkway.

Investigators from the Suffolk County Arson Squad and the Suffolk Fire Marshal's office were investigating the scene.

In April, Catsandonis told Newsday that Tompkins and her son had until May 1 to live in the house. He said that the rapper had said "if we give him one month's rent, he will allow them to stay until the end of the school year."

The home is located on one acre and has six bedrooms, five baths, a heated four-car garage and a pool. Last month, Catsandonis told Newsday that the rapper, who was shot outside his grandmother's Queens home in 2000, told Tompkins he wanted her and their son in a safe and secure location.

Britney Spears going crazy?????

LOS ANGELES (May 30) - Britney Spears is not yet fit to participate in court proceedings in her conservatorship case, her lawyer told a Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner Thursday.
Though she has appeared to make great strides since her forced hospitalizations for psychiatric evaluations earlier this year, Britney Spears is still not well enough to take part in court proceedings. That was the judgment Thursday of Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz, who ruled that Spears cannot participate in "any meaningful way" in legal proceedings tied to her court-ordered conservatorship, The Associated Press reports.

LOST TRIBE FOUND IN BRAZIL!!

The BBC reported last night that an uncontacted tribe had been discovered on the border between Brazil and Peru.

According to the Guardian, there are around 100 uncontacted tribes in the world. "Survival International estimates more than half are in the Brazilian and Peruvian Amazon."

The National Indian Foundation, a government agency in Brazil, took these photos and published them Thursday. According to CNN, "it tracks "uncontacted tribes" -- indigenous groups that are thought to have had no contact with outsiders -- and seeks to protect them from encroachment.

They and their relatives apparently live in six communal shelters known as malocas, according to the government, which has tracked at least four uncontacted groups in the region for the last 20 years.
The photos were taken during 20 hours of flights conducted between April 28 and

DEM LEADERS IT'S BEEN FUN BUT IT'S TIME TO GO!!

WASHINGTON — Top Democratic leaders intend to push for a quick end to the battle for the presidential nomination when primaries are over next week, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday, adding that he, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and party chairman Howard Dean will urge uncommitted delegates to choose sides.

"By this time next week, it will all be over give or take a day," Reid said of the marathon race between the front-running Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Obama is within 44 delegates of clinching the nomination, according to The Associated Press tally, and leads Clinton by roughly 200 delegates.

Democratic officials said Pelosi already has begun contacting uncommitted House members urging them to weigh in soon after the primary season ends. Numerous Democrats have expressed concern that a protracted nominating campaign could harm the party's chances of winning the White House in the fall. John McCain effectively wrapped up the Republican nomination in March.

Joking about assassination of Obama is not FUNNY!!

So FOX News contributer Liz Trotta thought it would be a good idea to joke about the killing of Sen. Barack Obama. Since Hilliary Clinton busted the seal on the idea with the RFK comment, I guess it's fair game to joke about. But this was not a slip of the tongue, as you can see. We shouldn't let one comment like this slide. Not one. But since it looks like she'll get away with it, please, no more assassination remarks or jokes on national television! ... "Assassination" jokes about the current president are not politically correct. That's an understatement. It is no different for the next possible leader of our country, Obama. Listen, Trotta is the former New York bureau chief of The Washington Times. That's a shame. She's a journalist, but not a responsible journalist. And now she's just another idiot like the ones Fox usually puts up there to talk. The video has been going around for a few days. In all fair and balanced fairness, here's Trott's apology, where she jokes and laughs again? The Mike Huckabee NRA Obama shooting remark was sick enough. It's not funny. It's not a joke.On a completely unrelated note, here's some more good ol' fair and balanced reporting. Shout out to Fox!!!

Yes, I'm hot for Hillary Clinton's 'body woman,' Congressman Weiner admits

Rep. Anthony Weiner, a likely 2009 mayoral candidate, is pouring his heart into Hillary Clinton's White House bid - literally.

Weiner, whose district includes parts of Queens and Brooklyn, finally 'fessed that he is romancing Clinton's glamorous "body woman," Huma Abedin.

Asked by The Associated Press about all the time he's spending on the road campaigning for Clinton, the 43-year-old bachelor said, "It's largely because I'm dating Huma."

The whispers have been around for months, but until yesterday Weiner ducked questions about Abedin, saying his personal life was off limits.

Though she posed recently for a glamorous photo spread in Vogue, Abedin, 32, is famously press-shy.

The New York Observer, in a long profile last year, called her "a sort of mythical figure" who never has a hair out of place or a wrinkle in her Prada suit and can hush a crowd of rambunctious reporters with a single look.

"I think there's some dispute as to whether Huma's actually human or not," an admiring Weiner said then.

Abedin was born in Michigan to a Pakistani mother and an Indian father and was raised in Saudi Arabia.

She landed an internship in the First Lady's office in 1996 and quickly become her indispensable right hand.

These days, she rarely leaves the senator's side - and Weiner rarely leaves hers.

As to the hectic pace of a presidential campaign, he conceded, "It's not a great environment to forge a relationship."

Eddie Griffin Sued for Smackdown

Eddie Griffin
To quote his big-screen alter ego in Undercover Brother, this is one of them funky times.

A former production manager is suing Eddie Griffin, accusing the funnyman of a drunken assault while working on a TV pilot in March.

The lawsuit was filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court against Griffin and the Leslie Greif Company by Vince Beane, who worked on a VH1 reality series tentatively titled The Eddie Griffin Project. (View the court docs.)

The plaintiff claims that on March 10 the comic actor wrongfully accused Beane of slighting Griffin's mother by "treating her, like a slave nigga" or a "ghetto Momma on junior prom night just waiting to get slammed" because, per producers orders, he booked her and Griffin into a "cheap three-star hotel."

Beane's complaint accuses the production company of plying the erstwhile Malcolm & Eddie star and others with more than six bottles of Veuve Clicquot Champagne, which purportedly caused Griffin to go off on Beane, grabbing him by the collar and smacking him around for failing to find better accommodations.

"That was for my Momma…she ain't no nappy-headed ho," Griffin is quoted as saying in the court documents.

For his part, Griffin's rep called Beane's allegations "completely absurd" and "without merit."

Beane also blasts his employers for failing to provide adequate security to ensure his safety.

"The Leslie Greif Company negligently failed to advise Vince Bean of the violent propensity of the inebriated Eddie Griffin and his short and uneasy temper of which they were well aware and encouraged in hopes it would enhance his outrageous behavior," the suit states.

"This failure to warn created an unsafe environment and perilous situation for the unsuspecting plaintiff."

The suit contends that Beane suffered "severe bodily injury and emotional distress" along with "loss of enjoyment of life."

The production manager says he didn't fight back, fearing retaliation from Griffin's five-man posse, which includes a former heavyweight boxer.

Beane is seeking unspecified general and special damages to pay for medical expenses, as well as wage loss and loss of future earning capacity.

BREAKING NEWS!!! MAJORITY LEADERS ADVISEING SD'S TO COMMIT

Tantalizingly close to the nomination, Obama stands to gain a minimum of roughly 20 delegates in remaining primaries in Puerto Rico, Montana and South Dakota under party rules that distribute them proportional to the popular vote _ even if he loses all three. He would need to enlist the support of uncommitted superdelegates to amass the rest.

Slightly fewer than 200 superdelegates remain uncommitted, including 64 members of Congress.

One, Rep. James Clyburn of South Carolina, the Democratic whip in the House, was quoted in a report published Thursday as saying he intended to disclose his preference as the final primaries are held on Tuesday.

Clyburn, who is black and whose district and state voted overwhelmingly for Obama, is widely expected to support the Illinois senator.

Asked about the story in the Stamford Advocate, Kristie Greco, a spokeswoman for Clyburn, noted that he repeatedly has said he will not endorse before June 3.

Although Obama holds a commanding lead in delegates, Clinton has threatened to campaign into the August convention if she is not satisfied with the results of a party committee meeting this weekend. A Democratic National Committee panel is scheduled to discuss the fate of disputed delegations from Michigan and Florida, two states that held primaries last winter in defiance of party rules.

Reid, in an interview on radio station KGO in San Francisco, said he had talked since Wednesday with both Pelosi and Dean. "We agree there won't be a fight at the convention. ... We're going to urge folks to make a decision quickly _ next week."

Reid said the results of the disputed primaries in Florida and Michigan "should be counted as well," but he did not propose a compromise to resolve the controversy.

He made his prediction that the nominating fight would be settled by the end of next week in a speech at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco.

Karen Finney, a spokeswoman for Dean, said that in his conversation with Reid, the chairman said he wants the nominating campaign settled in June.

Pelosi has also said she hopes the nominating contest is wrapped up quickly.

Pelosi To Superdelegates: Endorse By Next Week!

Nancy "the nanny" Pelosi
"After Tuesday, we will [have a clear idea]. I think Saturday will be important, put the Michigan-Florida issue behind us," Obama said Wednesday on a flight from Denver, Colorado, to Chicago, Illinois.

The party's Rules and Bylaws Committee meets this weekend to consider what to do about delegations from Florida and Michigan, which broke ranks to hold primaries earlier than party rules allowed.

"We've got three contests in succession. And at that point, all the information will be in," Obama said, referring to Sunday's vote in Puerto Rico and Tuesday's primaries in Montana and South Dakota.

"I suspect that you know whatever remaining superdelegates will make their decisions pretty quickly after that."
