Rihanna raged after Chris Brown received booty call text message from manager Tina Davis
The mystery woman who texted R&B singer Chris Brown the night police say he beat Rihanna has been revealed.
And she's twice his age.
Brown's manager Tina Davis, 40, left a lengthy text message on the 19-year-old's phone which set Rihanna off, TMZ.com reports.
Brown and Davis are rumored to have had a relationship when the "Run It" singer was 16 - allegations that both have denied.
A source tells The Daily News that the text message was about hooking up later at the London hotel.
A detective's affidavit notes that the message came "from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with."
An industry source previously described the text to The News as a "booty call."
"Rihanna saw it and she got upset," the insider said. "They started to argue. She got out of the car. He wanted her to get back in, so he grabbed her. She pulled away. That's when she's told people he hit her."
Davis could not be reached for comment.
Brown was charged on March 5 with battering his 21-year-old girlfriend just before the Grammy Awards.
He is due to be arraigned on April 6.
