Forget rest and relaxation, it was all about romance for Craig David as he whisked his new girlfriend off for a cruise in Italy.
The singer frolicked aboard the deck of the luxury liner yesterday with his bikini-clad companion, whose name his has previously declined to reveal.
The mystery brunette, who had slipped on a black string bikini for the day, enjoyed a playful afternoon with the multi-platinum selling artist, giggling flirtatiously as he hosed her down with water.
As well as a new relationship, the 27-year old, who topped the charts wit his debut Born To Do It, has been busily touring the UK to promote his current album, Trust Me.
He's hoping to replicate his first time success both here and in the US, but accepts it may take time.
He says: 'I'm young - I'm only 27 now - and I've got a new record and I'm excited.
'If this album just starts the ripple to which I drop a next record, then that's what it's all about.
'I'm not expecting to just come here and, bang!, Craig David's back. I have to work it hard.'
Craig says the challenge of writing the perfect song continues to keep him motivated.
'It doesn't exist, of course. But the desire keeps you going. The route to longevity has always been to be able to ride the lows.
'Someone like Stevie Wonder did that. I am only as good as my last song. Hits are a pension, but I don't want to rest on those songs. I want to have a future.'
Craig, who owns a home in Miami as well as a north-London penthouse, hopes to return to the US with his band for a concert tour later this year.
Low key: Craig has previously declined to name his new love
